Have you ever wondered what penguin feathers feel like? Visit Audubon Aquarium for an up-close encounter with an endangered African penguin. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an intimate, hands-on experience with a penguin in a private encounter area. An Aquarium aviculturist will be with you to answer questions and guide you through the experience.
Meet a penguin up close! Learn about penguins and how the Aquarium cares for them. Take your own photos to capture the unforgettable moment.

Every person attending must have a ticket. Encounters are limited to 8 guests, 6 years of age and older. All participants 17 years and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult chaperone (18 or older). Advance tickets recommended. Aquarium admission is included.
The last ticket sold for an experience will be 4 hours before the experience. Penguin Experience lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled Penguin Experience. Remember to bring your ticket with you. Mobile passes accepted. One of our staff will meet you in the lobby at the front desk facing the gift shop. Do not wait in ticket purchasing line. Guests with food-related allergies should be aware that our aquatic animals may be offered shellfish, finfish, or crustaceans.

During this exclusive experience, guests will join our 3 black bears on their back patio in the Louisiana Swamp and learn more about their overall care, training and enrichment.
